The Philadelphia Center for Preventive Medicine
will be opening its doors in South Philadelphia this summer.
Our community has been blessed with outstanding physicians and state of the art facilities dedicated to the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Unfortunately there are no centers that are dedicated exclusively to cardiovascular disease prevention. In our busy cardiology practice we see many patients after they have survived a heart attack or stroke. Many of these patients could have avoided these serious afflictions with the proper screening. Cardiovascular diseases are unique in lending themselves to early intervention. Our health and wellness center will have as its sole objective the early detection of cardiovascular diseases. Patients with risk factors such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, family history of heart disease and smoking have to be managed very aggressively in order to prevent the development of cardiovascular diseases, including heart attacks, aneurysms and stroke. At our brand new center we will not only offer the best screening tools such as advanced cardiovascular profiling, autonomic testing, comprehensive lipid profiles, sleep apnea evaluations, and balance testing but also a dedicated staff committed to patients’ welfare through disease prevention.
